Ivy at Home: Recommended Reads From The Ivy Bookshelves

By Steve Greenberg, Marketing Intern

Running your fingertips through the aged spines of our extensive book collection until stumbling upon an inviting title to be enjoyed fireside with a cup of English tea is one of our favorite Ivy activities. Though a bit of cabin fever may have many of us wondering about the leisurely activities available ahead, taking the time to read and recline has limitless opportunities as we leap from one story, plot, or genre to another. Unbeknownst to some travelers, Baltimore is one of America’s most cherished literary hubs. From Tom Clancy to Edgar Allen Poe, the creative heart of Charm City beats and thrives across generations. While the famed Peabody Library is one of our favorite stops on our unofficial Baltimore Book Tour, we’ve created our own literary collection over the years to help carry the torch for our guests.

In the spirit of #IvyAtHome, we invite you to join us as we dive into a few of our favorite reads from our very own bookshelves along with the inside scoop on what our staff is reading now. Although our copies may be out of reach for the time being, our friends at The Ivy Bookshop are offering online ordering and carry most of our recommended titles in their shop.
